Dateline NBC rated The Maui Police department the most corrupt police department in the
United States.

Here are some examples why.

One case that stands out is that of Astara Evenstar, a 15 year old beautiful blonde girl. She was illegally black market adopted by Maria Swope. Maria had two other children. Her son Freeman repeatedly raped Astara.

Maria Swope is connected to the Hawaiian Mafia, The Hawaiian-Mexican mafia including some Maui Police commit heinous crimes including murder, home invasion forced drug addiction child prostitution, rape pornography you name it.

Astara was forcefully injected with drugs including ICE. She was injected while she was sleeping. They sent her to rave parties where she was shot up with drugs and gang raped by members of The Hawaiian Mafia including Maui Police officers.

The police have ties to The Hawaiian Mafia.

2. Johnson: A cop from Makawao who shot an unarmed woman Jan 24, 2004 2 weeks after Astara Evenstar was murdered. He was given 3 months paid vacation following this incident. I heard that that the woman he murdered was pregnant by him, and he is a married man.

3. Ned Kanekoa: A Maui cop who tasered Miranda Sahalie Townsend. After Miranda filed a grievance she just disappeared.

4: Palanco: A Maui cop who shot a unarmed homeless guy while he was sleeping on the beach in Kihei. He steals weed from skaters in Kihei and rips off things from their vehicles to support his ICE habit. He also sells drugs he gets out of the evidence room.

5. Cusano: He told Wendy Evenstar that he saw Astara being gang raped at a rave party. When she asked him why he didn't do anything he couldn't answer. He was in on it. He may have been in on her murder. I was told by Heather Gilroy a female police officer that Cusano doesn't work for the Maui Police. All I know is that he carries a badge and drives or used to drive a red Camero. He could be DEA or some other government officer.

6. Ken Doyal: Was fired from the LA police dept for abuse. He joined the Maui police department. He is a woman beater and raids vehicles, looking for drugs and money.

7: Tom Phillips: He is a Bad cop just for being chief of the most corrupt police department in The United States.

8. Benito; Officer Benito assaulted Geoffry Mulhaney bruising his ribcage he assaulted him twice in the same day January 4, 2008. He had been harassing him for 3 days in Kahului. Benito the bandito stole the money out of my wallet when I was taken by Maui police for passing out www.hawaiian-tv.com

I met a local homeless guy named Brian Nakamoto who told me that
Benito always harasses him.

He also told me that police officers including Benito the bandito are known to take white guys out in cane fields where they are robbed and beaten. I wonder if some of them have also been murdered.

9. The Maui Police Commission; The Maui Police commission is made up of corrupt Maui Police officers. They have a complaint form on their website that doesn't even have a send option.

Also their call in telephone # requires entering a code to get through which only members have this 3 digit code. The same with internal affairs hotline. The FBI in Honolulu told me that they have no Jurisdiction over the police in Hawaii. This means that the Maui police have no one to answer to. The email address crs@mpd.net is blocked so you can not send them complaints. Scince I wrote this it got unblocked, but they don't answer emails with reports of police corruption. They have free reins to commit all the crimes that they do without worrying about being investigated. So far I am the only one investigating them and have been robbed, beaten gotten a cracked ankle bone from real tight leg irons and have been told that I will be hunted down cut up in pieces and thrown in the ocean by the intake guard at the Maui Jail. Because I slipped a note to a nurse telling her about the threat they couldn't kill mi in Jail. When I left the guard with tattoos all over his arms said

"We know what you look like and will see you on the outside."

10. Lt Glenn Cuomo. Lt. Glenn Cuomo from the criminal investigation division is covering up for the gang rape and murder of Astara Evenstar. He listed her as simply a missing person. He is also covering up for at least 10 rape murders in Kihei, Wailea and Haiku.

I have found out about 1 rape, mutilation, Murder in Kihei and mutilation rape murders in Wailea where the women all beautiful tourists 4 blonde and one redhead found in and behind dumpsters assaulted with broken beer bottles. A guy known as Big Bird found the woman in Kihei behind the dumpster at a bar called Lulu's early in the mourning after closing. A guy mamed Freddi Fish also saw the girl's body. It was around 3:00 AM after Lulu's was closed and few people around. The police not EMS hauled her body away. I went to Maui Memorial Hospital to ask if they received her and they called security on me. I had to flee the hospital because I was inquiring about why the blonde nurse in charge of Astara when her mother brought her in after she was gang raped by a lot of guys including Maui ppolce officers and shot up with crystal meth, {ICE} at a party The Maui Memorial Hospital also refuses to give any information about the numerous people brought in for injures or death due to the numurours assaults and murders that are kept from the media. Lt. Glenn Cuomo is covering up these rape murders also.

On October 27, 2000 Kimberly Belluomini, a beautiful blonde woman was found dead in her South Point bedroom in Kihei. She was found because her parents became suspicious after not hearing from her. They had her checked up on. Lt Glenn Cuomo was in charge of the so called investigation. He reported that they had not determined the cause of death. His investigation never went further that that. If it wasn't for her parents inquest this incident would have never been reported to the news. Kimberly was raped and just like the other women were.

The disappearance of Astara Evenstar got very little coverage and her name wasn't even given in the article written 2 days after the locals and police drugged gang raped and threw her off the cliff at Pauwela lighthouse. The Maui news always cooperates with the police.

A number of years back a girl named Lisa Au was found dead having been raped and murdered. I talked with one of her neighbors and he said that she was last seen in a patrol car.

I met 2 guys that told me things:

"Cops have been raping and murdering girls on Maui. A body of a girl who had been raped and murdered was found in the alley between the Haiku telephone company and a bank turned into a cafe. The same day they found another body of a girl who had been raped and murdered at Haiku School. This happened about 6 months ago from January 2008."

A guy who witnessed a girl being raped in the back of a police car was threatened that if he said anything that he would be found with the murder weapon in his hand dead along with the girl. putting the blame on him." I still don't know if he is still alive, or if the girl is alive either.

I met a girl on the bus to Lahaina who told me that the cops told her that she was too ugly. She seemed grateful for that. She was going to tell me about another murder but after we left the bus she didn't feel safe getting involved in any police investigations. Cuomo is the main cop that is in charge of covering up all this stuff.

11: Clifford Pacheco: His son Elijah Pacheco was in on the brutal murder of Yeshua Boerstler where he was beaten, Dragged down the dirt road behind a car to Pauwela lighthouse and running over his head. He stayed alive 3 days after in a Coma. Yeshua was protecting a girl from being raped by Elijah and his local friends. Bill kept this gruesome murder from being investigated. Yeshua's mother's fiance was thrown off the 6'th story balcony of her condominium in Kihei 2 weeks later because he knew about Elijah. Ricky who worked for Jet Fast in Lahina a friend of Yeshua was forcefully given an overdose of drugs because he knew too much. A High school journalist had to flee Maui for her life after writing an article criticizing the police's handling of the investigation of Yeshua's murder and Their so called Investigation of Astara Evenstar, Who was gang raped and thrown off the cliff at Pauwela lighthouse by locals and the Maui Police. The mother of this high school journalist was put in jail for 3 days for no reason. Pacheco's goons threatened Yeshua's friends with a gun in Kehei. When they called the police nobody got arrested for pulling a gun on Yesh's friends and driving drunk. The cop simply dumped out one of their beers and sent them on their way.

12. A girl named Sarah was tasered by two Maui police officers. They were not fired or disciplined. She told me she doesn't want to pursue it because, like most people, she's afraid.

13. Jeff Tanouye. Dale B Basgall sent me an email telling me that after he had a restraining order against the girlfriend of Jeff Tanouye. Jeff set up an assault where Dale was assaulted in his home. They cut his phone line. He spent 3 days in the hospital. In his court case against the Maui police where he had proof of crimes committed by them the prosecution lost the paperwork dealing with the case 12 times.

The phone line at my house has been tapped for quite a long time. After being on the phone a black Police SUV came down the road several times. While I wasn't there Sam Marroquin was attacked by Pahoa police officer Ron Paro and at least three other big police officers and tasered 4 times at least one time in the face. They locked him up in the Kaneohe mental hospital where he is being forced to take zombie drugs. No one not even his parents are allowed to visit him. Now when calling Kaneohe Mental hospital they just hang up on his mother. They may have killed him.

A guy who works for www.hawaiian-tv.com was threatened being asked have you ever seen a volcano up close? by Pahoa police. His car was sabotaged, ticketed est on fire, and stolen by the police. After I filed a complaint with the police commision which was totally ignored they began to repeatedly ticket my car. I arranged a court hearing to contest the tickets and was served a warrant at the preliminary hearing.


14 Detective Timothy Gapero: Detective Gapero is the chief officer that was put in charge of the investigation of Astara Evenstar. He has never even investigated the Swope family the foster home that Astara was placed in 2 months before her disappearance. All warnings that her mother gave that Astara was being raped and given crystal meth by these foster parents were ignored by Maui police. The Police, Baldwin High School and CPS officials all refused to give the Swopes' address to Astara's parents after she was black market adopted by the Swopes. Having been told about a 35 year old Columbian man who raped Astara and about Astara being raped at a rave party by a lot of Mexicans and even at least one Maui police officer nothing was done except to try to silence Astara's mother and an attempt made to have her committed. When Astara was hospitalized after a party where she was gang raped and shot up with crystal meth the nurse in charge refused to check Astara for rape and drugs. She was left in a bed with mascara running down her face severely dehydrated, due to a massive dose of meth when her mother visited her. The security guard told her mother that they were in charge and there was nothing that she could do about it. When I went to the Maui Memorial Medical Center to question the blonde nurse that was in charge of Astara they called security on me. It is obvious that the Hospital, police and courts work in collusion to cover up for corruption.

One question for Detective Gaparo; What have you done since January 10, 2004 to investigate the disappearance of Astara Evenstar?


14. Barry Alford; Barry Alford a former Maui Cop shot and killed his wife Karolyn Alford in a murder suicide on Tuesday October 20, 2009.

At a String Cheese Incident concert in Lahina Tory Newland was seen being taken away in a Maui Police car. He hasn't been seen since.

Jessie Jarvie was beaten with what appeared to be a nightstick and pushed down a ravine at Polipoli Park on Maui. He was critically injured suffering loss of teeth and severe brain damage. The Surgeon at the hospital confirmed that he was beaten but the police said that he accidentally fell down the ravine which caused all the head injuries. they are definitely covering up for some people probably themselves.

Three Maui Police officers were fired in March 2009 stemming from them stealing money from a woman that was arrested and extorting her for sexual favors in Lahina Last year. A long article about it appears in the April 16 Maui News on page A4.

This is only about 1 percent of what happens in Hawaii, because of all the cover ups and the fear people have of complaining about anything against the cops .. and never mind the witnesses that get murdered. These are all cases that did get solved yet you will see that none of the cops or guards really get punished and

Cres Esponel

Cres Esponel started the West Maui Boys on Maui. It has police connections. Cres shot a woman in her apartment and was sent to jail.
It seems that Cres's court files were deleted and he was set free secretly.

While on Maui investigating the Astara Evenstar case I have found out about a
LOT OF RAPE MURDERS INVOLVING THE POLICE.
The five rape murders I mention in the letter to Maui Memorial Mospital concerning Kihei were covered up by the police department. It will take further investigation to be able to bring out the facts.

I went to Haiku today to hand out
hawaiian-tv flyers about Astara.

Some guys at the bus stop told me this. About 6 months ago two blonde girls were found raped and murdered in the same day.
It got no news coverage.

One of the girls was camping at Pauwela lighthouse. A local guy who went to there to talk to her noticed she was missing. He told the police and they told him to not get into it. Her body was found in a ditch below Twin Falls in Hanapo'o. The cops tried to keep it all hushed up.

The same day another girls body was found in the alley between the telephone company and a bank turned into a cafe in Haiku.

Not long ago another girl was found dead at Haiku school. Also it was in Haiku that a girl named Lisa Au was found raped and murdered. Of course the Maui Police never solved this case.

Lisa Au is another girl that was raped and murdered a number of years back in the Haiku area. I talked to a guy who was her neighbor and he said she was last seen being taken away in a police cruiser,-

Another thing I was told was that a guy saw a cop raping a girl in the back seat of his car. He was warned not to talk about it. Everyone here tells me how the cops are the Mafia. They have people scared. One guy told me that if I go around telling these stories that I will be the next body found in a ditch. I would feel responsible for the next time they rape and murder a girl if I give them fear and keep all this to myself.

String Cheese Incident incident, Tory Newlin

String Cheese Incident is a band who plays Greatful Dead type music. They were having a concert in Lahaina Spring February 16 2002 at Lahaina Civic Center. Torey Newlin from the San Francisco Bay area misplaced his backpack. He asked the police if they could help him find it. They could tell that he was high on something.The police saw him later with his backpack and apprehended him. He hasn't been seen since. His parents put up a $5,000 reward to locate their son.

When leaving the Kahului library I was arrested for passing out Investigation of Astara Evenstar flyers 2 hours earlier. I still have a scab where they clamped the leg irons so tight. It seems to have resplintered the ankle bone where prison guards smashed it in 1984. I am still limping over 2 weeks later. I'm on the run to this day.

The truck driver who delivers food to the Salvation Army was talking to someone about what could have happened to Tory Newlin, the guy Maui police drove away with from the String Cheese Incident concert. Out of the blue a kid walked up to them and said "Pigs eat bones." then he told them about a pig farm up in Ulumelu. There are private roads that go up there. He saw Maui Police drive up there. This may explain what happens to bodies like Astara Evenstar, the women who were raped in Kihei murdered and thrown in and behind dumpsters and the numerous other raped and murdered victims from Haiku and who knows how many more.

If I could just research the records of the Maui Police and find out which police officers were dispatched to this String Cheese Incident concert I would have the identity of the cops who murdered this San Francisco college student.

Maui Police Arrest Officer In Drug Case ;
17-Year Veteran Reassigned During Investigation

The Maui Police Department arrested an officer in connection with a drug investigation.

Officer Ryan Masada, 39, turned himself in on Monday. MPD said a warrant was issued on drug charges.

He was processed and released at the Wailuku Police Station after he posted $10,000 bail.

Masada has been with MPD for 17 years. He worked at Wailuku Patrol Division before the indictment.

MPD has reassigned him to administrative duty within the department during the investigation.

The Maui Police said that there is no evidence of foul play in the disappearance of Laura Vogel. A text message to Laura's friends Sunday night February 22 said that she was with
"meeting all the locals".

None of these locals has come forward to say anything so they must have something to hide.

Why as of now is there no mention of any forensic examination of Laura's van? Did the Maui Police even do one? Did they fingerprint the top half of Laura's phone? If no foul play is suspected how did her phone get broken in half?


There was two phone calls made on Laura's phone to a number of someone that was not anyone that she knew. There was a voice mail of a mean sounding male on the Voice mail. This means that whoever is responsible used her cellphone and whoever they called knows who it was. The Maui police claimed to have contacted the owner ot the voice mail that whoever was using Laura's cell phone called. They said he said that he hasn't used the voice mail for 10 years. If someone doesn't use a voice mail for just a month or 2 the phone number is reassigned. Whoever is assigned to this voice mail as of February 22, 2010 is who has to be questioned. The Maui Police are covering up for this person, the person's whose voice is on the answer message. This is the key lead to whoever called him. By not following up on this the Maui Police can just keep the truth from the public.

The police have the information of the cell phone records and know who made these calls.

After searching for her since February 22, 2010 she has not been found. The cliff that she is believed to have "Accidentally" fallen off has green vegetation at the bottom and her body would be on the rocks below and would not have landed in the ocean. There is over 100 yards of cliff at Pauwela lighthouse and only about 10' of it is above the ocean at high tide. It would be highly coincidental that Laura like Astara Evenstar just happened to have accidentally fallen right there.

The fact that they never recovered her body shows that she was moved.

As in the case of Astara Evenstar the body had to have been taken somewhere. Whoever moved the body must have had a vehicle.

The case of Astara Evenstar involved Police corruption, a short time after Astara told her mom that she had welts on her stomach caused by a policeman's belt who was in on gang raping her she disappeared at Pauwela Lighthouse. The Maui Police also covered up the murder of Yesuah Boerstler who was dragged and run over by Elijah Pacheco a policeman's son at Pauwela Lighthouse. I was also told of a girl whose name I didn't get who was murdered at Pauwela lighthouse, another blonde who was camping there. It never got any news coverage.

Lisa Au who was found raped and murdered in Haiku a few years back was last seen by her neighbor being driven away in a patrol car. Tory Newland who disappeared at a String Cheese Incident concert in Lahaina disappeared after being driven away in a patrol car. Several people have been murdered by Maui police who take "Haoles" into cane fields. No bodies are recovered because someone who is professional at getting rid of bodies got rid of them. As in the case of Tory Newland he was taken up to a pig farm at Ulumela and the pigs ate even his bones.

If this case is to be investigated it will take investigators that are not Maui Police. All Haiku police cars should have forensics done to see if she was driven away by Maui Police.


News Release March 20, 2010

In the Maui Police investigation they initially said on February 26 that the guy whose cellphone was called on Laura's cellphone said that he hasn't used that voice mail for 10 years. Finally on March 12 they interviewed him again and on March 20 8 days later it was announced on ABC News that he said that his cell phone was stolen.

This leaves a lot of questions. If his phone was stolen then all the cellphone records of calls after it was stolen are by the thief. By tracing all those calls in the cell phone records he and his aquaintences can be identified. All of these people need to be questioned. If his phone was not really stolen then the cell phone owner, Adam, is guilty.


Update March 24, 2010

I found out his first name is Adam. He lives in Haiku but when the guy who told me this Nathan Kaipo Spencer told me that if I camp at Pauwela lighthouse They would kill me.

So I'm going back to the Big Isle and just ask for anyone online to answer questions.

Adam if you read this and are telling the truth about your phone being stolen post all the phone records or email them to me at hawaiiantv@gmail.com.

Then the process of calling all the numbers to find out from them who called them from Adam's phone and this is the person who whoever stole Laura's phone was calling. He should know who called him with Laura's phone. This is the person or person's of interest. The FBI or cops should have already done this but they obviously have not.

Nathan Spencer who murdered James Foster and the Maui Police refuse to let his wife press charges and also has been let off by the Maui courts for about fifty offenses including meth trafficking, assault and burglary and is the local guy who told me he knows Adam the guy whose cell phone was called on Laura Vogel's phone.

He also admitted that he hangs out at Pauwela lighthouse by telling me that if I camped there that he and his friends would kill me and take my body out in the ocean on a boat.

The way he looked when I saw him was like the picture

This guy is a person of interest in
Laura Vogel's disappearance.

I believe that because Adam is afraid of Nate and his other friends who were in on killing Laura and that is why he said that

1. He hasn't used his voicemail for 10 years.

And later said

2. that his cell phone was stolen.

He obviously wasn't there since they were calling him. The police are backing up his lies because they know that they would be in big trouble if Nate were busted since they were already covering up for him murdering James Foster and letting him go on numerous drug assault and robbery charges in the past. Also they also know that Nate will spill the beans about all the drug deals he made with the cops in the past. He probably deals drugs out of the evidence room for them. I finally got the FBI to agree to question Nate about Where he was the night she disappeared.

I got an anonymous tip confirming that
Nate Spencer does in fact camp at
Pauwela lighthouse.

Another Cell phone lie

It is more and more obvious that the police are lying. Now the story is that Laura's cellphone was used to call a prepaid phone card? Even if Michelle Mitchell meant a prepaid cellphone this goes contrary to the two other attempts at dismissing these calls.

Namely

1. That Adam's cellphone had not been used for 10 years.

So he had a 10 year prepaid cellphone that he paid for 10 years without using it?

2. That his cellphone was stolen. So he paid for a prepaid cellphone that was stolen and Nathan knew the phone number and called it twice with Laura's cellphone?

I am John Tyler IV, who wrote the Bad cops
on Maui post. I spent 6 weeks on Maui investigating the disappearance of
Astara Evenstar.

While there I talked to everyone that knew anything about the Astara case and other cases that were unsolved on Maui. Because I spent a lot of time asking people about Yesuha Boerstler and Astara The police had a dragnet on me.

They sent goons after me in Kihei and finally arrested me on a phony trespassing and disorderly charge. The prison guards assaulted me threatened my life and because they couldn't kill me in jail because I slipped a note to a nurse telling her that my life was threatened that they said : "See you on the outside."
